Chapter 1

As author said, leaders have to set concrete goals, I think.  A leader who does not have clear goal, is not real leader because the kind of person cannot lead people and cannot make team together.  Because followers are people who sympathize with the leaders goal,  leader has to set a clear goal for leading followers. But setting clear goal is not enough for good leader. Leader have to communicate with followers to tell them leaders' goal. Leader has to make own mind and goal clear, but also leader has to make followers' mind and goal clear. If leader cannot do that, the organization can't be one team. So leader needs to not only set clear goal but also tell the goal to followers.

  1. Hi Toshi,

    Good point about how leaders have to be able to communicate their goals, the goals in effect need to become shared goals to become effective. This is an important aspect of change management.
